On a dozer, the biggest costs are in the undercarriage
The dozer does some of the heaviest work of any construction machine. Constant pushing and ripping is hardest on the undercarriage, final drives and powertrain. The undercarriage is one of the largest items in a dozer's operating cost, and checking its wear regularly lets you plan replacement at the right time.
The fault that stops a dozer rarely comes without warning. Growing track slack, noise from a final drive or overheating transmission oil all signal trouble ahead. Catching these signs early prevents a major component failure.
We carry out maintenance and repairs at your job site or quarry, and components that need an overhaul are handled at our Ankara workshop.
What we do on dozers
Everything your dozer needs, from periodic maintenance to undercarriage replacement:
- Periodic maintenance based on operating hours, oil and filter changes
- Undercarriage inspection and replacement: track chain, shoes, rollers, idlers and sprockets
- Final drive repair and seal replacement
- Transmission, torque converter and steering system repair
- Seal replacement on blade, tilt and ripper cylinders
- Hydraulic pump and control valve repair
- Engine fault diagnosis and engine overhaul
- Cooling system maintenance and radiator cleaning
Common dozer faults we see
Track slack and wear
Loose track tension and worn bushings and rollers lead to thrown tracks and rapid undercarriage wear.
Final drive noise or leaks
Failed floating seals or worn gears show up as oil leaks and noise from the final drive. Left too late, the final drive itself is damaged.
Pulling to one side
Problems with the steering clutch, brake or hydrostatic steering system keep the machine from tracking straight and make turning difficult.
Power loss under load
A problem with the torque converter, transmission clutches or the engine makes the dozer slow down under load.
Weak blade and ripper
Hydraulic pump wear or internal cylinder leakage lets the blade drift down under load and makes the ripper work weakly.
Overheating
A radiator clogged with dust and mud is the most common cause of engine and powertrain overheating on dozers.

Common questions
How do I know when the undercarriage needs replacing?
We inspect wear on the track chain, bushings, rollers and sprockets, then tell you the condition of the undercarriage and the right time to replace it. That way you can schedule the replacement for your quietest period.
Do you supply undercarriage parts?
Yes. We supply and install undercarriage parts such as track chains, shoes, rollers, idlers and sprockets, and go over genuine and aftermarket options with you.
Can you repair a dozer without taking it out of the quarry?
We carry out most maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs wherever the machine is, using our service vans. When a component overhaul is needed, we plan the process together with you.
Do you also service dozers with rippers?
Yes. We service every system on the dozer, including the blade and ripper hydraulics.
