Heavy Equipment Fault Diagnosis and Electronic Diagnostics

We read the fault code, confirm it with measurements and never replace a part until we've found the real source of the fault. That way, your machine gets back to work without unnecessary costs.

Heavy Equipment Fault Diagnosis and Electronic Diagnostics
Why it matters

Why accurate diagnosis matters so much

A broken-down machine costs more than its own repair. Trucks waiting on site, idle operators and a slipping schedule make every hour of downtime expensive. Finding the source of the fault quickly and accurately is the most effective way to shorten that time.

Repairs based on guesswork often end in unnecessary part replacements. A faulty sensor or wire can look like an expensive pump or injector failure. Accurate diagnosis keeps sound parts from being removed and stops the same fault from coming back soon after.

A small problem caught early can be fixed before it turns into major damage. If overheating, low oil pressure or hydraulic irregularities are ignored, an engine or pump overhaul can become unavoidable. Some faults also directly affect braking, travel and lifting safety.

What we do during fault diagnosis

On modern Komatsu machines, the engine, transmission and hydraulic system are monitored by electronic control units. When a value moves outside its normal range, the system logs a fault code. The code shows which circuit or system the fault is in, but on its own it doesn't tell you which part has failed. That's why we don't stop at reading the code: we verify it with measurements on site.

  • Reading active and stored fault codes with electronic diagnostics
  • Electrical measurements on sensors, wiring harnesses and connectors
  • Hydraulic system pressure measurements
  • Fuel system, turbo, air intake and exhaust checks
  • Transmission and travel system checks
  • Inspection of oil condition, leaks and signs of wear
  • A clear explanation of our findings and recommended repair
When you need it

Request a diagnosis if you notice these signs

01

A warning light or fault code on the instrument panel

02

Loss of engine power, hard starting or rough idle

03

Hydraulic functions that are slow, shaky or lacking force

04

Overheating, high oil temperature or low oil pressure warnings

05

Unusual noise, vibration, smoke or a burning smell

06

Intermittent faults that come and go

How we work

From fault report to repair

  1. Fault reportYou send us the machine model, the symptoms and any fault code shown on the display.
  2. Hands-on inspectionOur technician inspects the machine on your job site or at our workshop using diagnostic and measuring equipment.
  3. Diagnosis and briefingWe clearly explain the source of the fault, the repair options and the parts needed.
  4. Repair and verificationWith your approval, we carry out the repair, then clear the fault codes and recheck the machine while it's running.
FAQ

Common questions

Isn't reading the fault code enough on its own?

The code is an important starting point that shows which system the problem is in. But the same code can have different causes, so it needs to be confirmed with measurements and checks.

Do I need to transport the machine for diagnosis?

In most cases, no. Our mobile service vans come to your job site anywhere in Türkiye, and we carry out the diagnosis on the spot.

Do you also handle the repair after diagnosis?

Yes. Once the fault is diagnosed, our team takes on the repair, including engine, transmission or hydraulic overhauls where needed.

Do you diagnose faults on older machines too?

Yes. On machines with limited electronics, we diagnose using mechanical and hydraulic measurements, drawing on our team's Komatsu experience.

If your machine is down, let us know

Send us the model, the symptoms and any fault code, and our team will get in touch to diagnose the problem.
